throat - perhaps a failed suicide attempt while he was holed up in a boat last friday. ja-har and his 26-year old brother tamerlin are accused of the marathon bombings injured more than 170 others. police also say they killed a m-i-t police officer, car-jacked a man, and engaged in a shootout with police just hours after the fbi released surveillance images of them near the bombings. tamerlan was killed in the shootout, and police say his younger brother drove over him when fleeing. the brothers are ethnic chechens from russia who have lived in the u-s for about 10 years.

investigators are also looking into tamerlan's six month trip to russia last year. it's unclear what he was doing there.or if he had any contact with terror groups. >> pam: funeral services were held today for one of the victims killed in the boston bombings -- krystle campbell. mourners hung an american flag outside the church in medford, massachusetts. hundreds of family and friends packed a church there. while dozens more waited outside after being turned away because the church was full. family members held a wake for the 29-year-old on sunday. another victim killed by bomb blasts at the boston marathon has been honored at a memorial tonight at boston university. graduate student lu lingzi was described as a sweet- hearted woman. passionate about piano, her studies and loving life. hundreds attended the gathering including governor deval patrick.
